Comfort & growing up
I love comfort. It feels so comfy, comfortable to be with friends that make you wish for nothing else than the present moment. Not even speaking sometimes. Just present moment. The present comfortable moment.
But when we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone….
Plus, even though I love these comfortable moments, I don’t search for comfort.
I love more being provoked, out of my comfort zone, being challenged for reaching more.
“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.” – Alan Alda
That’s why I appreciate so much the people who have the courage to tell you the truth in your face, offering also support for change if needed. And if the truth is told in a gentle way, it’s even more appreciated. Because even when you’re honest, there’s no need to be cruel. It’s harder to be kind that to be smart. And since we are talking about growing up, here’s a wonderful short animation movie of 15 min, highly awarded, “The Lost Thing”, telling a beautiful story about curiosity, care, empathy, indifference and growing up…
